My name is Angela McComas. I have been doing genealogical research for about ten years. I am currently working at the Genealogy & Local History Branch of Mid-Continent Public Library in Independence, MO, where I am a Research Assistant and Program Director. I have published articles and books and taught many classes at the library, at society meetings, and at state-wide conventions.

Most of my research is concentrated in records within the United States, before 1940. I have experience in using census records, vital records (birth, marriage, death), military records, obituaries, newspapers and original documents. I can do the research or guide you through your own project.

I promise to provide competent and knowledgeable research with thorough documentation, using methodical and logical reasoning to solve your genealogical questions.  I can't promise to find the answer you want, but I promise to provide an honest analysis of the records found. I can write the reports in a narrative format or using forms and charts. I hope to provide affordable professional services to my clients.
