angelakcgenealogy@yahoo.com When you retain a professional writer, you are paying for the time and expertise in finding, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data in the quickest and most effective way possible to fulfill your writing request. Enclosed is a check or money order for $_____, (minimum $75.00) as a retainer. Please make it payable to Angela McComas. I hereby engage the research services of Angela McComas and authorize her to write my family history on my behalf, for an amount not to exceed $_____, as per my instructions. I have provided to Mrs. McComas all pertinent information on the subject to be written. This includes family group sheets, pedigree charts, and a list of sources previously searched. Angela McComas agrees to provide photo-ready copy, with any or all of the following; title page, contents, forward, graphics, index; and a detailed report of time consumed and expenses incurred. The writing project will be delivered to the client in a timely manner, usually not more than six (6) months from the time of receipt of the deposit by the researcher. Time will depend on the extent of the writing assignment. Angela McComas retains copyright to the completed project. The client may make limited personal copies, but may not, in any manner, publish any part of the project without written permission of Angela McComas. Client gives Angela McComas permission to use reports and documents found in the course of this commission for purposes of certification, in scholarly articles and for educational instruction. This does not include client provided material nor information about living individuals. The client will be charged as follows: $25.00 per hour, including planning, research, analysis, and writing. Time is divided among these four functions in approximately equal portions. The client will be charged for other expenses including, but not limited to, the cost of microfilm rental, photocopies, postage, mileage and research from an outside source.
